Dr McCabe joined SPEC in October 2022 after moving to the North Shore from Boston. She had been a pediatric ophthalmologist at Lexington Eye Associates for 26 years prior and has been volunteering in Central America annually since 2004. Prior to her fellowship at Boston’s Children’s Hospital, Dr McCabe did her residency training at Tufts New England Eye Center. After working as a  pediatric nurse practitioner for a few years, she moved on to medical school and residency while raising her 3 daughters. Now a proud grandmother of 4, she is working part time as well as teaching yoga and cycling and hiking as opportunities arise. She brings a wealth of experience working with children, as a nurse, physician, mother and grandmother and finds great joy in growing along with these curious, playful and sometimes challenging little people[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
