Report of Teaching and Education Innovations
BCH Ophthalmology Surgical Program | Development of an attending assessment form for trainees upon completion of a surgical case. Development of edited surgical video, attending specific, for trainee review prior to surgery. Pre and post rotation assessments of surgical competency and confidence for the trainees as different elements of the surgical program were implemented (eg video, wetlab) with statistical evaluation of the additions (interventions) to the surgical education via the assessments from both trainees and attending physicians. Results presented to the BCH Teaching Academy. |
