Catherine Johnson, OD, FAAO

Dr. Johnson is a pediatric optometrist who joined Specialized Pediatric Eye Care at it’s inception in 2015.  She received her Doctorate in Optometry from The New England College of Optometry (NECO) in 2006 and completed a Residency in Pediatric Optometry at NECO in 2007, for which she received the national Terrance Ingraham Pediatric Optometry Residency Award.

 

Dr. Johnson joined the Faculty at NECO in 2007 where she continues to teach clinical courses related to pediatrics.  Previously, Dr. Johnson cared for children at New England Eye affiliated clinics and was a consulting optometrist at the New England Eye Low Vision Clinic at Perkins.  Dr. Johnson brings many years of clinical experience to providing eye care for children of all ages and abilities.

 

Dr. Johnson is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry (AAO) and continues to be an active member of the AAO and the American Public Health Association. She is also a member of the Children’s Vision Massachusetts Coalition which is dedicated to improving children’s vision care throughout the state.

 

Dr. Johnson lives in Andover, MA with her husband (who is also an optometrist) and two young children.  She is looking forward to caring for children on the North Shore!
